The number of people who called Beatrice home is phenomenal. Each year the Gage County Museum receives numerous letters, e-mails and visits from people researching their roots.
For this momentous event, Beatrice’s 150th birthday, we are inviting back all the founding father’s families, members of the Nebraska Association families and those very earliest settler’s families. A number have already agreed to “come back” to a place that they perhaps have never visited before, but a place nonetheless that their relatives called home.
Although the even is only one day, a number of activities are happening in the area, including July 4th Flea Market in Fairbury, Cedar Creek Pottery, Homestead National Monument’s new site, and stock car racing.
